Cerebellar Hypoplasia Cat Cupid Finds Safety and Care at Help Humane
Cupid is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet, and he just happens to live with a severe form of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). Unlike some cats with milder cases, Cupid is unable to stand or walk without support. But that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life in his own unique way.

To help him move safely and comfortably, Cupid’s area is set up with solid supports he can lean on as he shifts and maneuvers. His head movements are especially unsteady, so he uses thick silicone bowls that provide both stability and protection while he eats and drinks.
Cupid doesn’t play like other cats, but that hasn’t stopped him from finding joy in his environment. He finds ways to engage with toys and people that work for him. His gentle personality and soft, loving nature shine through in every interaction.
Cats like Cupid remind us that happiness doesn’t come from doing things the “normal” way. It comes from being accepted, supported, and loved just as you are.
