Cheez-it the CH cats makes everyone feel welcome at Help Humane
Some cats simply radiate joy, and Cheezit is one of them. Living with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects his coordination and balance, Cheezit has no idea he’s different. He approaches life with endless enthusiasm and seems to believe that everyone and everything he meets should be his friend.

Despite his wobbly gait, Cheezit has mastered getting around. He stands and walks with determination, uses his ramp like a pro, and has even figured out how to climb into the chairs in our CH room. He doesn’t hold back when it comes to playtime. Whether he’s chasing toys or flopping dramatically into a cuddle pile, Cheezit throws his whole heart and body into everything he does.
Like many CH cats, he sometimes has accidents, but he manages well with his low-entry, high-sided litter box. His resilience and adaptability are just as impressive as his positive outlook. He may wobble, but his spirit is steady and strong.
Cheezit reminds us every day that joy isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. His cheerful nature, silly antics, and deep love for life are contagious. Everyone who meets him can’t help but smile.
He is living proof that special needs cats aren’t broken. They just move through the world a little differently, and often with a lot more joy.
