Mardi Gras: The Supervisor at Help Humane

As a free roam hallway cat, she is always watching what everyone (humans and other cats) are doing. Sometimes she naps on the job and will be found in her favorite cardboard couch bed.

Mardi Gras

When Mardi Gras first came to HELP Humane, she was terrified of people. She needed a long time to adjust. Her rescue family needed to offer patience, gentleness, and space. Mardi Gras became great friends with another cat in long term care who has ongoing medical needs. She will always be just behind him when he enters a room or right next to him when he is napping in a cat tree. She is always watching staff or volunteers while they are cleaning or arranging food. When other cats are playing she is always ready to hop in if needed and loves to help herself to treats. Being handled and picked up is not her thing, but she does love being in the same room as her human friends.
